Dual Declaration Nutrition Facts Labels

A Dual Declaration label can be used for products that require additional preparation before eating, such as dry cake mixes and dry pasta dinners, or that are usually eaten with one or more additional foods, such as breakfast cereals with milk. These packages list information to describe “as packaged” and “as prepared.”

A Dual Declaration label can also be used for products such as beverages and snacks, such as crackers, cookies and nuts, that contain 2-4 servings, but might be eaten at one time by one person. These packages list information to describe “per serving” and “per entire package.”

Aggregate Nutrition Facts Labels

An Aggregate label is used when individual items are packaged together, such as a variety pack of breakfast cereals or when one package may be used interchangeably for a different variety of the same type of food. In this case, you may choose to include separate Nutrition Facts labels for each food product or may use a single aggregate Nutrition Facts label.
