Section 4205 of Health Care Reform
A growing numbers of cities, counties and states have adapted or are considering policies requiring restaurants to provide calories and other nutrition information to their guests. However, once in place, Section 4205 of health care reform — endorsed by the National Restaurant Association — will pre-empt the current patchwork of state and local regulations.
Section 4205 of Health Care Reform requires mandatory nutrition labeling for foods sold at chain restaurants and similar retail food establishments with over 20 locations.
