Smart Meals = Smart Marketing
On The Menu is the State of Colorado’s suggested nutrition analyst. We consult on Colorado’s Smart Meal Seal initiative, which allows restaurants to use the Smart Meal Seal logo for meals that meet specific nutrition criteria. To earn the seal, entrees must be 700 calories or less, free of trans fat and lower in total fat, saturated fat, and sodium. We can determine if your menu items meet these qualifications, and help you modify your recipes to guarantee that they’ll qualify.
In Colorado and Beyond
The Smart Meal Seal shows customers you’ve met specific health standards, and your participation gives your restaurant the endorsement of the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment. This program has been adopted by other locations, including Sonoma County in California. We’ve worked with several states and state agencies, so we’re ready to go if you need multi-state expertise.
