A recipe analysis is the first step towards discovering the nutritional properties and strengths of your menu or food product.

Food Manufacturers

A nutrition analysis must be completed in order to create a Nutrition Facts panel.

Restaurants

Two-thirds of Americans support requiring restaurants to provide nutrition analysis information, including calories, on menus. Many national restaurant chains have realized the benefit in providing their customers with nutrition analysis information. We can help you join this trend. Post your nutrition analysis results on your menu, your website or in separate materials. Your customers, the Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Surgeon General encourage you to make nutrition analysis information available so that healthier choices can be made when eating outside the home.

Every nutrition analysis includes the following information:

  • Calories
  • Calories from fat
  • Total fat
  • Saturated fat
  • Trans fat
  • Cholesterol
  • Sodium
  • Total carbohydrates
  • Dietary fiber
  • Sugars
  • Protein
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin C
  • Calcium
  • Iron

Additional nutrients may be identified by request.

A recipe analysis is completed using data from food suppliers, the U.S.D.A. and Genesis R&D SQL nutrition analysis program from ESHA Research. Our FDA approved software is internationally recognized as the most accurate, most complete nutrition analysis system. Our comprehensive database of more than 25,000 foods is meticulously researched to give you the most exact computerized nutrition analysis available. We continually add new foods to our database and can include any specialty products your company offers.

For food products that cannot be analyized using the above methods, a laboratory analysis can be run.
